REFLECTION
This group assignment is indeed a fun one for me. It didn't take long for us to select our site, materials, furniture, and create the title block. Once everything is set, we have plenty of time to create our scaled drawings. As for me, The scaled drawings is the exciting part of the assignment. With the knowledge I have gained from the previous assignment, I am able to create my scaled drawings with ease and get less confused with the symbols. For the site plan. I have created my own distinctive roof pattern, which translate beautifully into my elevation drawings. My floor plan is definitely much more detailed compared to my last assignment. As for the section drawing, I am able to cut out the length of the furniture in the living room which is blocked by the walls of the kitchen, which is the challenging part of it. Overall, this final assignment made me proud of my own work. It broadens my confidence in my drawing and creativity.
Journey on ITD
Having ITD in my foundation program is definitely one of the greatest thing Taylors have introduced. Having 0 knowledge in drawing, I was able to draw at a decent level after completing the first assignment. It has certainly increased my confidence to work on my other assignments. Most importantly, this module has also taught me to create all types of technical drawings of houses and space, and to learn and recognize all the symbols and labels within it, which is very crucial for my further studies of pursuing architecture. Our lecturer Mr. Akmal is one of the most friendliest teacher I have encountered. I look at him more of a big brother instead.
